About Me

My massage training started in 1978 at Massage Institute Herricht, in Vienna, Austria. The accreditation/training program included anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, active and passive gymnastics, breath work, water treatments, using various devices in and out of water, working with infrared lamps to deeply sooth muscle, tendons and ligaments. I graduated in 1979 with honors.

I successfully worked in Vienna's # 1 spa in the 1st district just a short walk away from the "Hofburg" which was the former emperor's residence and were still today dignitaries and heads of state meet.

In 1981 I completed a "Deep Massage" 500 hour training program in Santa Barbara, California, which leaned heavily on Ida Rolf's philosophy of structural integration.

Years later I re-established my massage practice in Seattle. In 1994 I completed the massage therapist training program at "Brenneke Massage School" and have since then completed a wide variety of massage techniques focused on injury treatment.

I have completed following certification training programs:

Neural Reset Therapy - working directly with the central nervous system. Completed online and in person study and testing 2016 with the "Advanced certification"

Orthopedic Massage - assessing and treating joint & alignment issues. This one year in-depth program was held at Port Townsend School of Massage and taught by Olympia's own and renowned Susan Rosen who was also instrumental bringing massage therapy to the level of acceptance by the state legislature and thereby adding massage therapy as a health benefit which is now covered by many insurance plans.

I am currently studying visceral manipulation with the Barral Institute. 2010 ongoing.

Also currently studying cranio sacral therapy with the Upledger Institute. 2016 ongoing.

I just completed a 10 week osteopathic somatic movement techniques course. "Look inward, find the health in your body, reconnect the brain with the body and counter sensory motor amnesia" which may be at the crux of many repetitive motion disorders. 2023 ongoing.

My motto: First, do no harm. I carefully listen, to be of assistance on your journey to health and well-being.

My hobbies are outdoor activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, dragon boat racing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and hiking.
